Repeat Routine - Poem by Gabriela Valoy
It's like a pattern that'll never end
Force yourself out of be in the morning
Force yourself to make it through the day
Put on a smile, don't show your pain
'Are you okay'... You'll always say 'yes'
Now you're along, you're always alone
Stare at the pills that'll make it all stop
& then come the tears and the thought
You wanna call someone, you don't wanna die
But don't wanna bother anyone, no one will care
so just drown your pillow with your tears
Exhausted from the pain and the overwhelming fear
you fall asleep, hoping for relief
But even while asleep, the nightmares destroy you
Wake up in the morning.
How many time? For how long?
How long until the pattern ends?
How long until she becomes tired of repeats?
