Rest With Me Sweet One - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Rest with me sweet one as I lay down
for a little while.
From the nightmares I still feel tired
and want my lady by me as I rest awhile.
I want to feel your soft loving peace
and have you here with me.
I love you so very much and want to hold you close.
I want to feel the comfort of my only love
as we snuggle the morning away.
Come rest with me my only one and lay your head on my chest,
I will just stroke your long dark hair as we lay in peace.
Listen to my audio books and drift off peacefully,
feel the comfort in our souls as we hold each other near.
Come rest with me my only one and let mt comfort you,
come rest with me my Kira dear because I love you very much.
Come rest with me my only one because it's only you I want.
