Restful Evening In Each Others Arms - Poem by Michael P. McParland

What would be perfect tonight
would be a restful evening in each others arms.
Eat dinner here very soon
and then lay down together on the couch
in each others arms and close our eyes
for a short while.
Chase away the last of this tiredness together.
A restful evening with you is what
I so truly want and desire.

To be with you is the most peaceful
thing there is in this world for me.
To hear your sweet voice and smell your skin and hair,
to just feel you next to me would help
all the tension melt away
as my heart melts for you in total love.
Oh my sweet darling Kira let's pray to God
that so soon you will be here or I there.
I just want us to be in each others arms
feeling pure comfort and warmth.

As we were relaxing tonight we could watch a movie,
you know I have a huge collection so you could
pick out which one you would like us to share,
just lay on the couch getting lost with each other
in the story that it is telling.
Feeling safety and peace being so close together.
A quiet evening in each others arms.
What could be better my sweet precious lady?
Nothing I say because being with you
is the ultimate blessing and prize I could hope for.

I want a quiet evening in each others arms,
the perfect time with my only love,
to lay on the couch wrapped up with my Angel
my sweet Angel dove is the most peaceful thing there could be.
To share kisses and smiles with tender looks
of pure love from the soul.
I love you my sweet Kira and want a quiet evening
in each others kind, loving, and accepting arms.
