It was like
A long long journey
From one pole to the other
In time and in space.
Who carried me that far?
Far, far from you?
Like migratory birds
From two distant countries we met.
You had brought for me
Flowers whose scent
I couldn't recall
I had brought
Words for you I couldn't utter.
Words dissipated
Consonants melted into vowels
But it was a wave travelling all the way
From the other end of the sea
Completing it's round.
I returned.
I returned me to you
