Riches - Poem by Triauna Hall

It must be nice to have so much cash
Have nice houses and a car to flash
Spend and spend, its forever endless
Stay popular and never be friendless
That's cool that you have all that cash
But next to your house is a man in the trash
Searching for food to feed him for three days
He lives in the alley while you just got paid
You pass by every day and never look his way
While he sits, starves and always prays
You love your life and you think you're the king
With your gold chains and your diamond earring
Only caring for yourself and what you have to shine
But the 53 year old man just so happens to be blind
While your life is perfect someone else's is not
You see that man every day and left him there to rot
You should feel horrible and also ashamed
But your head is too big and all you look at is the fame
That man starved for days and eventually he died
You drive pass every day and look at the spot in which he lied
You could've saved that man but yet you didn't care
All that money you have and you could not have shared
Now that you see he is gone, you want to feel bad
Where was all of that when that man was sad?
Slowly but surely, it starts to eat you alive
But no worries, your money still will be there once you die
