Robins Means Spring Poem by Spock the Vegan

Robins Means Spring

The morning blizzard came in mid-March,
Occurring outside my window glass.
A magnificent sight awaited me -
more than 100 robins were flying en-masse,
landing in back yard for me to see.
Sign of spring - robins doing the chasse.

Ronnie's comment has disappeared! Whatever she said, she helped inspire my first comment. I am enjoying the hummingbirds, goldfinch, Eurasian collared doves, black-capped chickadees and quail in my yard this year. I also saw a black-headed grosbeak a few weeks ago. They are not common here.

I love robins, and I really like the rhyme pattern you used: A B C B C B

As Ronnie, said, Wow! I've never seen more than a few at a time, either. Very interesting! (I've seen robins doing the chase, but never the chasse!)
