Rubaiyat (5) Of Omar Khayyam (Hindi) - Poem by Rajnish Manga

The Worldly Hope men set their Hearts upon
Turns Ashes- or it prospers; and anon,
Like Snow upon the Desert's dusty Face,
Lighting a little hour or two- is gone.

English Translation is by Edward FitzGerald (1809-1883)

Wonderful lighting with little hour still shines with hope and attitudes. In desert's dusty face snow still brings wetness and warmness that provokes life with amazing feeling of imagery. Very wisely drafted and shared...10 (Report) Reply

Truly, our hopes too should be limited and confined to realistically achieved ones (Report) Reply
