I run with passion
I let everything go
It's only me and my breath
The pounding of my heart and mind
My ears feel the wind rush by
Daring me to run
I feel nothing except the aches of my legs
Every pounding of a foot brings me closer to relaxation
Every step brings me new life
The confidence I have
The speed I contain
Varsity yes indeed
I guess it will stay
With my love for running
Such sweet times filled with bittersweet memories
I shall run until I can't
I shall run until it hurts
I'll let my legs carry me away
Bring the aches and pain
I'll always win first on the track
