If I could only have my way
I’ll make both of us the happiest on earth
I know of how deeply I feel for you
Yet I can’t admit it, not now… not ever.


There are times when you try my patience
And I’ve heard the worst about you, too
I’ve seen you in your bad moods
But deep in my heart I just love you more.


Each day I live, my love grows deeper
Your proximity disturbs my senses
Can’t believe I’ve been foolish to let myself fall
Without you I feel grouchy, alone and lost.


I fear the day when you’d leave
I know I’ll survive but a part of me would die, indeed.
You’re in my thoughts every hour of each passing day
So how would I cope if you’ll go away?


The future scares me, I don’t know what it holds
I don’t want to let you go, the thought leaves me ice-cold
You’ve made me feel alive, waking up from my years of slumber
But knowing that you love me, too, makes me scarier than ever.
