Saying Goodbyes - Poem by Bera Tremoz

I wrote two long poems
while drunk last night
and three short poems
while hungover this morning
and i told my friend
to quit school
and go work
at MacDonad's
and that the shitty coffee
joint round the corner
is too classy for him
and that he's trying
too hard.
i gave him the Bukowski book
for his birthday last night
and i miss it
already.
i barely finished half of it
before giving it away,
it's worse than
abortion
or child prostitution.
