Scarlet Street Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Scarlet Street

Rating: 5.0

bathed in reds from setting sun
the moon peeps in dreams of night
cars go by music playing
cardinals fly low

children play in summer's glow
nearby a double red rose
an ice cream truck is selling
new york cherry cones

This is really beautiful. It reminded me of childhood days when we have to write essays on summer in our native language and we will describe the summer evening and how children are enjoying and those icecream and playground. Double rose is a beautiful placement. I liked it. It brought a big smile on my face. Thank-you

You are most welcome. I was attempting to create a summer scene that people can relate to. Thank you for your lovely remarks.
