Scene Noel - Poem by Andy Brookes

sage scents the air
tickles nostrils
lights split
the trees

avenues of festive huts
wares arrayed
reflected in shining eyes

mulled wine
spiced, hot and tart
good cheer

eyes feed
on the colours of Yule
red gold and green.

on smokey iced air
caroling
songs of joyousness.

Bon Noel

Andy, when you get writer's block revsit your poems. I like the variety. Personally, I hate revisting my poems. Sometimes, when I do, I get a shock. How did I write that? 10
