Search For Love? ? - Poem by Sanna Khandelwal

I went up the hill
For a cavity I had to fill
It was a bit too tough
The terrain was bushy and rough
Still, I went.. for I was on a search

I went on the camel back
To try out in a sandy sack
Huge hurricanes blow
Had nothing for me to show
Still, I went.. for I was on a search

I went into the sea
Where I could see many fishes flea
Sharks had made marks
Assuming me as their dart
Still, I went … for I was on a search

At last! I went to god
Asked “where my search stops Oh! Lord”
He said,
“Love is what you are looking for
Was every where you went searching for”
“Was I blind that couldn’t see its color
Or was I deaf that couldn’t hear its call”

“It has no color, neither does it shout
It’s a feeling which you missed out.
It exists between the hill and the bushy terrain
It exists between the camel and the huge hurricane

Though it gives them pain
But without each other there life is vain!

Thank you Lord
For switching on the light
I forget…to search my inside.
