Seashells For You And Me - Poem by Neka Gross

Walking along the calmest shore
Sand under our feet like a rubbery floor
As we walk hand and hand, you kiss my cheak
Then I slowly whisper in your ear 'Can I have one more? '

We stop and turn to the sunset sky as I let go of your hand
We're captured in a paradise, one between sky and land
I felt like I was flying out there with you by my side
It was hard to tell where heaven stopped and where it began

We sit here together the waves crashing against our feet
The sunset sky looking like an abstract peice
Your arms around me so tightly, I'm in this paradise forever
I reach down and grab two seashells, one for your and one for me

Beep, Beep, Beep, Beep, my alarm clock starts to ring
I wish you still loved me like that but it was just a dream
Sometimes I wonder do you still love me?
But I'll hold on to this seashell forever because my memories of you are everything
