Seven Deadly Sins: Lust - Poem by Daya Nandan

Lust is physiological but dangerous in excess,
For it breaks bonds and puts relationships at stress,
It blinds the mind and clouds the heart,
Destroys relationships and puts families apart,

Truly dangerous when it possesses the soul,
Seeking sexual pleasure without control,
It can destroy trust that takes decades to make
Brings about broken bonds and a giant heart break,

It can bring about disloyalty and unfaithfulness to the heart
Hunting for satisfaction, a problem to start,
It is truly dangerous when seeked outside the relationship,
In clubs and bars where loose women strip

Lust destroys the body just as much as the mind,
For HIV, Gonorrhea, Syphilis and chlamydia you will find,
Mostly for those who seek out the many loving traits of a whore
Dangers of lust to destroy the mind, body and soul of your,

It can do more than just simple damage to life's joy,
For lust is the sin that brought down the kingdom of troy,
Millions perished for a mere pursue of lust,
A bond of kingdoms broken, faded pieces of trust,

Trust, love and faith destroyed for temporary satisfaction,
One of lust that makes the heart lose direction
It will sadden your partner if you cheat, destroy her life,
Them in depression, cut or perhaps kill themselves with a knife,

Destroy not your life, your future ahead,
Let not love die, let not faithfulness be dead
For lust in excess will push you away from love,
Hence this is a sin as it angers god above
