She - Poem by ice johnson

She lifted her head
She took her wings
She spread them high and said goodbye

She was determined to win
No matter what was waiting
She knew she did this before
Pain and tears, of course, she knew them
But she shook her thoughts aside
and just ready to fight

She was soaring into the sky
She closed her eyes
and lived a dream no one could touch
She was ready to live
She was ready to die for something
She was ready
She was
She won
