She Is Only Different, But A Life She Has - Poem by Ashley jONES SMITH

She sits on the corner of the street,
she gets carried away with the breeze of the tree’s,
she thinks about all her hopes and dreams,
she wishes the wind would pick her up and carry her south,
with the waves of her dreams,
she wishes the angels would help her study her life,
she watches as the cars go by,
she hates the way people can stair so blindly,
she wishes they could just stop and look away,
she under stands she’s different,
she doesn’t mind anymore,
she thinks she’s unique in her own ways,
she is, but the truth is
she’s learned that in this world it’s to hell with your trust,
she just has to be true to herself.
