Silence (Sweet Silence) Poem by Todd Michael Cusato-Millar

Silence (Sweet Silence)

I was awaken somewhere between the end of dusk
and the beginning of dawn
Only to witness the sun gently caressing the horizon
The trees held white crystals within them
The crystals were also spread equally along the ground
as a Deer moved like an angel his hooves never seemed to touch the ground
Silence fills the air the city is so far away
silence sweet silence it is without question
the sweetest sound my ears have ever known
