Silent Lullaby - Poem by Claire Osterling
The words of my enemies.
The silence of my friends.
Deaths own spoken vows
Which leaves me slowly dieing.
These words that were never spoken
Left me filled with darkness.
The pale light of the moon glows,
Silence echoing in the cold
As the betrayal surrounds me.
Deaths sweet whisper fills me
As I follow it down the dark path.
For when Death comes, you will follow.
As the angels sing a silent lullaby.
