Simply... - Poem by Annalee Hopkins Somerville
I wonder if now is the time to reflect or simply deflect,
The circumstances of life and the impact it made,
Riches to Rags is there really such a game?
Poverty born, raised and outgrew,
Scars and memory riddles the mind,
No peace, no calm, a moment in time.
Time to remember the mourn and loss,
Outgrew, let go and simply move on,
Simply move on....
I wish it were that simple.
