Sitting In The Dark - Poem by Elizabeth Staples

Sitting in the dark
I feel all alone
I stop in the Silence
And all I think is your name
They try to stop my love
Sitting in the dark
My blood pumps fast as you apear
My heart beats faster as you wrap your arms around me
Sitting in the dark
My body gets weak and shakes as you kiss me and say your famuse three words ' I love You'
The words fill up my brain
Sitting in the dark
I know it don't come around very often
So when you say it I know it's true
I see you care
Sitting in the dark
I know it's hard to love someone who seems so far away
You being right beside me feels so far away
Sitting in the dark
Growing up I just thought love was a word
But as I sit here looking at our life together I realized love is the truth
Sitting in the dark
You are my strength to my weakness
My love to my broken heart
My light to my darkness
Sitting in the dark
Can you show me forever
Can you show me a true man
Can you love me non stop
Sitting in the dark
No Cheaters
No Abusers
No lies
Baby and only happy crys
Sitting in the dark
Please don't hurt me
Be the love to our home
You hold the key to my heart
I'm trusting you
Please don't break it
Sitting in the dark
Confused with thoughts
Of how life can be so great with you
Sitting in the dark
Baby ' I Love You'
Come home to me
Show them you care
Show them your a man
And most of all show them you want the best in life for your family
Sitting in the dark.
