Small Town America,4th Of July - Poem by Dolf Imfo

Small Town America,4th of July
A young boy with bottle rockets just shot out his eye
Meanwhile in the kitchen his mother makes pie
And in the back of the trailer his dad drowns in rye.

In 1776 they fought for our right
to shoot out our eyes with fireworks in the night
Blow off your fingers, your hands, your feet, and your toes
The more you blow off, the more your patriotism grows

The 4th of July is time to reflect on our forefathers
They killed the Redcoats and Hessians for bombing Pearl Harbor
Because of them we are free and democratic
Because of them we can own a semi automatic

So take out your guns today and fire them for no reason
Shoot your neighbor or your dog for surely they have committed treason
George Washington wrote the Constitution on this day
Let us celebrate and beat up a gay

Blow things up, get drunk, eat ranch sauce, feel fine
Look back to 1776 and party like it's 1999
Small town America,4th of July
Bring back the electric chair and let someone fry
