Rhiannon Bird

Smile - Poem by Rhiannon Bird

I’m thinking of home
I’m thinking of gone
I’m thinking of home
And wondering where it’s gone.

Tears for a ceiling
Pain for a floor
False love for walls
In the halls of a home that tortures so

To think I must release
To think I must be gone
To hope for a new love
To dream for a new heart

Goodbye my family
Goodbye my false hope
Hello to my home within
Coming back to my true self
