So I Go Walking - Poem by Michelle Dickson

I did it again
I cried
I actually let those tears
Fall from my eyes.

I went walking
Now my feet are burning
I forgot my shoes again

I walked away
Because I was mad
I actually let her
Get to me again

So I went walking
To feel my feet burn
Because I don’t want to cry
In front of her

She hit my again
So I went walking
To feel something other
Than my face and heart burning.

This seems to be a habit now
I piss her off and she shows me how
To hurt me without saying a word
So then I go walking.
