So Much For Nine Lives - Poem by Brianna Wilkinson

Lost in another reality,
you do not want to see the world through my eyes.
You do not want to be inside my head....

What do you see when you look at me?
Is my happy persona holding up?
Can you tell I'm crying inside?
Can you tell all I want is to die?

My feelings, my emotions...
they bottle up inside.
I can't, I won't, I refuse to fight.

I reach, I grab....
everything spills out on the floor.

Three days worth of build up rest at me feet.
Three days worth of crap that I could not beat.

I have tried so hard to hide,
I have tried so hard to die.

So much for nine lives
