So When The Alter Brings Me... - Poem by Kathryn Garner

You’ve got nothing on me
But the things you detest
But if I changed what you see
There’d still be the rest
Sitting inside of my head
Scratching words on the walls
There’s blood on her bed
Then her body just falls

You sneak till you find
More things to tear me with
You crave to rip up my mind
With you opinions dead kiss
You want to torture me till
I bend myself to become you
You’ll have to go for the kill
Because that’s the only thing to do

You say I don’t know me
But I sit here hiding my eyes
I’m sure as hell not what you see
But that doesn’t make me all lies
I’ve just grown to my life
And you think I spawned from hell
Yet you don’t know the knife
Or why the girl fell

She did few things for sins
But they gave her all her shame
But apparently Christians all win
So they caused her the pain
Of being these things
And they don’t agree
Just see what the alter brings
Look what you doing in to me

So when I lay there
After you’ve pushed me to the end
Then you bitches can bare
The shame, and how you must defend
You mind so you don’t loose
Yourself inside all the minds
But now these “sins” that I choose
Will stay till I’ve died

So when the alter brings me
When the chorus sings me
Maybe then you will see
What you’re doing to me
Perhaps then you will see
What I was meant to be
Maybe then you will see
Why the girl bleeds

ps. parents can all go to ruddy fucking hell
