Solutions - Poem by Herbert Nehrlich 2

A bovine beauty, not too smart
though visually a piece of art,
stood in the thickest, lush green grass
and scratched her spotted bovine ass.

And suddenly, there was a noise
that scared the oldsters and the boys.
A ball of sewer gas had flown
into the air all on its own

it caused a thousand flies to die
and greenies of the world to cry.
To stop this menace in its tract
they took a bowling pin and whacked

it deep inside the bovine rear,
the tip then resting very near
the exit to the second belly
where things ferment to rather smelly

and pie-like soft consistency.
They lauded their discovery
and praised the foresight of the human
to plug for good that bovine rumen.
