Somebody Asked Me - Poem by kathryn _xo

Somebody asked me today
What gets my heart pumping
Roller coasters? Scary movies?
Oh, those things are nothing

Without you I would be dead
My heart wouldn’t be alive
It’s you who makes my heart leap
Keeps me feeling good inside

Somebody asked me today
What do I like to do every night
Watch T.V? Talk on the phone?
Those things are out of sight

At night you control my mind
Always running through my head
It is you who keeps me up all day
And keeps me from going to bed

Somebody asked me today
What special hobbies do I like
Writing, Reading, Playing games
But those things aren’t right

For you are my one and only hobby
The man I always love to be with
You were sent down from heaven
As my blessing and a special gift

Somebody asked me today
What gets my heart pumping
Roller coasters? Scary movies?
Oh, those things are nothing

Without you I would be dead
My heart wouldn’t be alive
Only you can make my heart jump
And keeps me feeling good inside

Somebody asked me today
A question that I already knew
She said who I love the most
And my answer was you
