Something You Should Know - Poem by Nick Blowdryer

the sound
of two people
shouting at eachother
while I hide in another
room by myself

still to this day
makes my heart
beat faster

the way it does
when you find out
you've been evicted
or that your bank
account in overdrawn
for the third time
this month
