Sonnet To Silence - Poem by Brooki Wild

A long way away where desert sand holds sway
Where life is sweet though stifling heat
Throughout the day holds many a cloud at bay
The people there by drought cannot be beat
They love the place for its ridged pace
For the beauty and joy it shows
They would not trade in any case
Thought the going may be slow
for they have found its greatest gift
That only can be seized
When you bridge the greatest rift
And can live out there with ease
Heres what makes them take the same old track
Its the silence of the outback
