Spirit - Poem by Gordon Jerome

My spirit wanders among grand mountain views
Gliding perilously along on the breeze
Carelously traveling where ever it may choose
Through the meadows or the tall pine trees
Enjoying brief moments that so few come along
Slinking silently on the wind way up high
Becoming a part of natures sweet sultry song
Before it disapates into a clear blue sky
It falls back towards earth as reality sets in
Another daydream surrendered to time
But soon it will break realities grasp once again
As my free spirit again starts to climb.
'closing thought'
To sit and daydream is but to rest ones soul
Before realities stress takes a costly toll
