Spring Clouds - Poem by Steven Astro

Spring clouds drifting by
How we love to watch them fly

Fluffy, big and small
Some seem to climb so very tall

Then at dusk the fun does start
Rusty reds glow in the dark

Mountains, towers, dragons appear
Turning purple as night grows near

The last few rays of this spring day
Fade into black like into a sack

That is when the clouds shout back
'Will be back! '
'And that's a fact'

So now it's dawn
Pink colours are drawn
Across the eastern sky
Just like a multi-coloured dye
Plus they are a little shy!

Clouds begin to billow
They look like mighty pillows
But, oh!
This wind that blows
Warm and moist
Makes the clouds grow very fast

So now we both look at fantastic shapes
Of fish and cats and mice chasing snakes
That's nice

As the day moves on
The sun lights strong
This day look perfect

Now sit
And think
About this world

For clouds are dreams that always soar!
Your dreams are up there
They will come true

So be still
Make a wish
Blow the clouds
A little kiss
