Springtime Is Here - Poem by Ruth Johnson
Springtime is here - hip hip hooray,
Baby animals are coming out to play,
Lovely to see flowers starting to bloom,
Removes feelings of wintery bloom.
Springtime is here - it has recently been born,
Great to wake up in the lovely spring morn.
Pretty blossom growing on the trees,
Flowers producing pollen, ready for the bees.
Springtime is here - a wonderful time of year,
Everyone seems full of happy cheer,
Lovely sunrises in the morning light,
Pretty sunsets before the still of the night.
Springtime is here - welcomes the return of The Easter Bunny,
People are enjoying the sweet taste of honey,
People and animals can have fun in a park,
Nice long days before it gets dark.
Springtime is here - the birds are chirping in the trees,
Branches are swaying in a gentle breeze,
Visit some stately homes, maybe see some deer,
I'm so happy to know that springtime is here.
