Star Poem by Mozafar Ali

Star

Twinkle, twinkle, oh little star,
How did you get to be so far?
You’re not as big as the sun, nor as bright,
Hence the reason you shine at night.

Always present on a sleepless night,
Yet sometimes I see you in my lover’s eye,
Then so low, in the night so high,
Yet you twinkle so bright.

Twinkle, twinkle, oh little star,
How did you get to be so far?
You shine at night when I pray,
So I’ll watch you at nights till you fade away.
