Stars Revisited - Poem by Juge Sopczak

Mocked beneath
a ceiling of stars
on a cold night,
the sting in my soul
the only noise louder
than your love for her.
I drown in memories
and within myself.
How awkward this moment is.
The cold seems to creep from
the inside out.
I want the night to swallow me
while knowing it was never to be.
