Still Waters - Poem by Lynzi Berner

The water goes on
for miles and miles
Giving a home and a
beautiful site to many

You leave the land
so trusting
to make this journey
across the waters

Do you leave behind your fears?
Or do you carry them with you?

It's so quiet and peaceful
the sky and the sea
joining somewhere that
no man can reach

Out there, on the water
there is nothing to hide you
from yourself

Then you see it
off in the distance
land rising up out of
the horizon
seperating the water
from the sky

For a time
everything was real

Now it's time to return
to man made places
and let the beautiful ones
remain in your memory
