Stop - Poem by andrew turner

Stop and listen a while
Turn off that TV dial
And listen to what I say
I’ll try and make it clear as day
But it’s going to be hard
Lets stop all the homicides
And cease all gang fights
This world is better than this
We could have it so good
If only we stopped and listened
Let’s listen to the kids who are crying
And to the people who are shot and dieing
All we have to do is just listen
I know I can’t stop all this
But maybe all of us can combine
And try and stop another columbine
