Street Cries - Poem by NITIN RAMNATH

Peacefully the dawn's cymbals beat upon the sky
Raising the world to labour's various cry
Unfurling a gradual canopy of light
Drinking together of life's poignant delight
Embarking on the road to forge little gain
Not caring for the cold, wind or rain
Crying ardently goes a man on hurrying feet
Eagerly rings ' Buy bread, Buy bread' down the street.
