~ Sunlight's World

We watch the lazy butterfly
From bloom to bloom come flitting by,
And in the grass a cricket’s chirp
Tells us that he would never hurt
This quite, peaceful, summer day,
The little creatures on their way,
Buzzing about the whole day long,
Filling our senses with their song.
We watch all nature at its play,
As here atop this hill we lay.
How lazy seems this sunlit world—
No hurried pace, no traffic snarl.
O little bee, your hive awaits
The harvest of your lazy pace.
As homeward now you wing your way,
Carrying the proceeds of your day,
You do not stop to look at us,
Or wonder why we’re lying thus,
Or why we gaze up in the sky.
You do not even lift your eyes
To watch the clouds up in the blue.
Are we the lazy ones not you?

they have a perfect world... a balance that must not be disturbed. a poem not only refreshing, it also calls for an awareness of that much neglected and often mistreated world.

Gorgeous poem describing nature in the best. I like, the harvest of your lazy pace. Write more poems. Ten of ten.
