Sunset Musings - Poem by Marco D'Alessandro

As I look into the midst of the cloud bank,
With no particular feeling coursing through my veins,
For no thoughts are grabbing,
Each just drifts by, as if ignorant of my presence,
This is where I found the most blissful of states,
In the crisp hues of the clouds;

I am the closest to god that ill ever be,
As I look into the midst of the cloud bank,
I acknowledge, the mystery,
Who knows me, who loves me,
Without judgement, embraces me,
The quintessence is inside me;

and I don't fight it.
