Superstar (Moving On Song) - Poem by Richard Allen Beevor

I'm moving on,
gotta feeling I've been here too long,
this same old story's driving me insane,
feel so tired and it's all in vain,
I'm moving on.

I found a road,
took my life into my hands,
found a living with so many bands
but now the song is sung,
last note of this guitar has rung,
I'm moving on.

Oh! living free
took so much time to be,
now it's the end for me,
in the rising of the morning sun,
I'm moving on.

There's a big sky out there
gotta let my feet fall anywhere,
take some time to just stop and stare,
while I can breathe and run,
I'm moving on.

Hit the highway in my car,
ride them wheels, go real far,
if I call on you, remember!
I'm only passing through.
I gotta a life to live, seeds to sow
my stage is set toward a different show,
you know I'm gonna go,
I'm moving on.

So let me dream awhile
hoping like a child,
when at last my day is done,
no longer on the run.
I'll wish to come back to your side,
come home where my heart will abide,
till then I'm moving on,
just moving on.

Oh! living free,
took so much time to be,
now it's the end for me,
in the rising of the morning sun,
I'm moving on.

There's a big sky out there,
gotta let my feet fall anywhere,
take some time to just stop and stare,
while I can breathe and run,
I'm moving on.

This world just took my all,
eyes red, as tears start to fall,
the guys are calling saying one more song,
all those girls won't miss me when I'm gone,
life in this business is a narrow road,
another hero will soon lift my load,
gotta feel the earth beneath my feet,
no more song,
I'm moving on.

I hope she'll wait for me,
have so much ahead I need to see,
as chains of living fall away,
see morning glory, a brand new day,
the feel of freedom is a selfish gain,
but to escape a while is my aim,
no more songs to sing,
this flight has taken wing,
I'm moving on.

Oh! living free,
took so much time to be,
now it's the end for me,
in the rising of the morning sun,
I'm moving on.

There's a big sky out there,
gotta let my feet fall anywhere,
take some time to just stop and stare,
while I can breathe and run,
I'm moving on.

Heart so heavy, now feel my doubt,
a call from her, will I just turn about,
sorrow shakes me to the core,
got no desire to live here anymore.

Living free!
Took a time to be,
it's the end for me,
in the shadow of the morning sun
I'm moving on,
this race is run.
