Surviving - Poem by Stephanie Copus

If I touch, If I talk
If I breathe, then I can walk.
If I cry, If I feel
If I hurt, then I can heal.
If I taste, them I'm alive.
If I eat, I will survive.

Should I touch? Should I talk?
Should I breathe so I can walk?
Should I cry? Should I feel?
Should I hurt so I can heal?
Should I taste so I'm alive?
Should I eat so I'll survive?

I will not touch. I will not talk.
i did not breathe. I will not walk.
I will not cry. I will not feel.
I did get hurt. I will not heal.
I dod not taste for I had no drive.
I did not eat. I did not survive.

Stephanie, would you like to co-author a humorous poem with me?
    We could make it fun.
And you need to try out your funny side.
