Sweet One - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Sweet one I'm having a hard day.
What to do when my heart hurts so badly for you?
I'm so very tired but can't sleep,
my mind feels foggy but races all around.
I'm having a hard day sweet one
I wish you were here to hold and give me deep comfort.
Sweet one I am having a difficult day,
I'm all alone and feel so sad inside.
I need your company and arms around me,
lay right next to you in bed feeling your heart beat.
Put on some music and we would fall asleep,
sweet one you are the light that would help
ease the pain and sad feeling hard day.
Such a hard day sweet one I cherish and need,
you've always been the shining star that helped
cut through the dark and give me a smile.
I love you sweet lady you're the greatest to me.
I wish we could at least talk on this hard day.
Sweet one your love is the perfect medicine.
