Swift Time, Slipping Sideways - Poem by Scarlett Treat

Time, Swift time,
Is running sideways
Through my life,
Upside down
through my days,
Slipping away,
Never to return.

Loving you used to fill my days
And my life with joy, but
Time is empty now,
Hurrying past, upside down,
While I watch
With pain-filled eyes,
And a hurting heart.

Loving you,
Longing for you,
Lonely still,
Wishing you were here,
Wishing my life away.

Oh, that is how I sometimes feel of my long lost love that I can not get back. Boy, do I remember the good old memories of us being together way back than. If I could but just turn back time to see what I could fix. So, I say onto thee that this is another one of those VERY WELL DONE poems. Standing ovation, I do say. (Report) Reply
