Taken Aback

Rating: 5.0
broken heart
shattered dreams
twisted animosity
your shruken heads
upon a shelf
in hurting me
you killed yourself

it will be
a slow and painful death
so may not have even
realized it yet

take it back!
take it away!
stop your heart!
rain on your parade!

chocolate covered lemon drops
bleeding broken glass
whatever happened
to making this thing last?
you whispered sweet nothings
into my ear
i loved your voice
i held you near

you hid your face
behind your mask
while pouring poision
into my flask
i drank it up
i drank it full
i melted away
i your misleading lull

but dont be sorry
i didnt cry
or beg on my knees
and i wont die
and i dont want you
to take me back
i dont hurt
but you pain will last

A very emotional write with a strong dose of truth. It is very true that those who inflict pain on others wound themselves to a much greater degree. Thanks.
