Time to take this down,
to say good-bye, to exit.

The installation has served—
I sought a theme...

We moved freely,
into and out of it,

interacted with its parts,
close up, paid attention—

the point, moreso than
the installation itself.

Multifariousness. Life.
Experience. Soundless

shall be the footfall light
in all men's ears...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The speaker of the poem notes the importance of interacting with the art work, experiencing it on a personal basis, that this is the real importance of art, what sustains artistic expression.Art is an experience, and that experience leaves a residue behind. This is the power of art.Once art is out of mind, it no longer exists. This is the final poem of the ten poem series "Ten Poem Installation..."Several other poems in this series have appeared on Poet Hunter today.
