Talk To Me Poem by Paige LegreeSimmons

Talk To Me

Everybody can talk to me
But whom am I supposed to talk to?
No, I'm not the escape for your feelings
So please don't panic if you don't see me this evening
Cause even I have feelings
This darkness in my eyes
No they don't believe me
And this innocence they think they see
Yeah, they be leaning
Actually the whole thing just got me dreaming]
I am alone staring at this mirror on the wall
About to ask but I know it thinks I am the fairest of them all
When you bust through the door
Crying and Pleading
Begging me to listen, you barely breathing
I try to say something but you on your knees and
Before I can say anything you already leaving
Everyone can talk to me
But whom am I supposed to talk to
I thought you were mine
But I peg myself the fool
See I had a friend
And I thought it was you
