Taught Me Poem by Bob Thebuilder

You've said you taught me nothing
come on, you're not that slow
we both know it isn't true
you've taught me all i know

When you're there, it causes so much pain,
pain that i can not bare.
Why do that, over again?
You've taught me not to care.

Why let things, pass you by?
Lets give it a little nudge.
Keep the pain going for a little bit longer,
You've taught me to hold a grudge.

People believe so they can be happy
but you took that from me too.
Its just dumb to be happy,
You've taught me to believe something new.

For awhile i forgot what pain was
i guess you thought i needed to see whats real
You put the idea in my head
you taught me how to feel.

You might have taught me how to remember
the lovers you once new
but more imporantaly you taught me hor to forget
the friends who cared, but didn't really ever know you
