Thanksgiving - Poem by Juanita Harris

On Thanksgiving Day,
We sat down and ate
With lots of goodies
Piled high on our plates.
Family and friends
From near and far
Filled our house
Like a sky full of stars.
After the grown ups talked
And the children played,
We all gathered around
And began to pray.
We thanked God for the food
And all of the vittles
We thanked him for things big
And things little.
Then at the end of the day
Still laughing and living
We thanked the Lord
For a wonderful
Thanksgiving.
