That Girl - Poem by Ashley Emerson
She's been a ghost for so long
But now she's come back again
Should we be friends?
Life went by so quickly with scorn
But this pause for her is worth the play
She's my rose yet has jagged thorns
A lily perched on her pad, waiting.
Majestic as well, her beauty walks on water.
She's an offer nobody could refuse.
Has she come back to haunt me
Or to accuse?
